As you know from earlier posts, I’m working to get my body into a better physical place. I finally decided that it will definitely help to have a coach to give me some encouragement and direction.
Next thing I know, I’m doing some intro massage at the local running store, Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC, and I met an awesome triathlete named Stacey Richardson who decided that I was exactly the sport massage therapist she was looking for….and that I should do a triathlon! Yea, Right!! “Not in this lifetime” I said, and I don’t know how she did it, but some how I’m now joining a group she’s going to create called Never Too Late To Tri. It’s a specialized coaching program for women over 55 YO (okay, I’ll admit to 55) and aren’t athletes. We’ll all start at square one and then cheer each other on as we go.
Our triathlon is planned to be small, but it’s still a big goal for me. It’s a good thing that I know how to self-treat because I can see that I’m going to need to release some knots in my muscles
I’m pretty excited about it….imagine, ME being able to put the “TRI” sticker on the bumper of my car!
Have a great day,
Julie
